C-sectionUK ("CSUK")
Effective Date: 18 August 2026
The information, content, and services provided by The British Birthing Academy Ltd, trading as C-sectionUK ("C-sectionUK", "CSUK", "we", "us", or "our"), through our website, mobile application (the "App"), social media, digital courses, newsletters, emails, live sessions, 1-to-1 private sessions, community areas, or other communications, is provided for educational and informational purposes only, unless expressly stated otherwise, and subject to any further contract or terms of service provided in relation to private care.
1. Not Medical Advice
Content provided by C-sectionUK — including pre-recorded educational videos, live sessions with Midwife Vic, 1-to-1 sessions, courses, resources, and social media content — is not intended as medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
It should not replace consultation with a qualified healthcare professional, including your midwife, obstetrician, GP, or other licensed medical provider.
Always seek the advice of a healthcare professional regarding any medical condition, pregnancy-related concern, or postnatal recovery question.
Any instruction, information, or guidance we provide is not a substitute for the consultation, diagnosis, and/or medical treatment of your doctor or healthcare provider.
You must not rely on any instruction, information, or guidance we provide as an alternative to medical advice from your doctor or healthcare provider.
2. Individual Circumstances
Every pregnancy, birth, and recovery is unique.
Recommendations or guidance in our App, courses, resources, live sessions, or social media content may not apply to your individual situation.
Do not make decisions about your care based solely on content from C-sectionUK.
If you have any specific questions or concerns about any medical matter, you should consult your doctor or healthcare provider as soon as possible.
If you think you may be suffering from any medical condition, seek immediate medical attention from your doctor or healthcare provider. Do not delay seeking medical advice, disregard medical advice, or discontinue medical treatment because of instruction, information, or guidance we provide.
3. Live Sessions and 1-to-1 Private Sessions
Live sessions with Midwife Vic, and 1-to-1 private education sessions with C-sectionUK midwives, are educational and supportive in nature and do not constitute personalised medical advice or a clinician-patient relationship.
Always consult your own healthcare provider for medical guidance regarding your pregnancy, birth, or postnatal recovery, even where a session has addressed your individual questions.
Attendance at a live or 1-to-1 session does not create a duty of care equivalent to that owed by your NHS or private healthcare provider.
4. Community Areas and Chat Walls
The App includes community areas, chat walls, and discussion spaces where users may post, comment, or share their own experiences and opinions ("User Content").
User Content reflects the personal views and experiences of individual community members and is not reviewed, endorsed, verified, or approved by C-sectionUK before or after posting.
Any information, advice, or guidance exchanged between users within the community areas is not provided by C-sectionUK, is not medical advice, and must not be relied upon as such.
C-sectionUK accepts no responsibility or liability for the accuracy, safety, or appropriateness of any User Content, and is not responsible for any action taken, or not taken, in reliance on it.
If you read something in the community area that concerns you, or that conflicts with guidance from your own healthcare provider, always follow the advice of your own healthcare provider and seek clarification from a qualified professional.
C-sectionUK reserves the right, but does not accept an obligation, to moderate, remove, or restrict access to User Content that breaches our community guidelines.
5. Exercise and Physical Content
We recommend that you consult your doctor or medical practitioner before commencing this or any other exercise programme, including any postnatal or scar-related movement content within the App.
Not all exercise is suitable for everyone. These exercises and exercise programmes may result in injury if performed incorrectly.
Take care when assessing your own ability to do the exercises, particularly if you have a medical condition or particular injury. If you feel pain, discomfort, dizziness, or bleeding, stop the exercise immediately.
Postnatal videos and postnatal live classes are not suitable for women who are pregnant. Follow pregnancy and prenatal content only if you are pregnant and have full clearance from your own medical practitioner.
The creators, producers, participants, instructors, and distributors of these routines and exercise programmes disclaim any liability or loss (to the full extent they are legally able) arising out of or in connection with the instruction, services, or advice contained within them.
6. External Links and Third-Party Content
Our content, including within the App, may include links to third-party websites, social media accounts, or products.
We do not endorse these sites or content and are not responsible for any advice or information provided by third parties.
Where we have entered into a paid partnership or advertising contract, this will be stipulated and made clear within the body of the content, in line with Advertising Standards Authority requirements.
7. Limitation of Liability
C-sectionUK does not accept liability for any actions taken based on our educational content, whether delivered via the App, live sessions, 1-to-1 sessions, or elsewhere.
By accessing our App, resources, courses, live sessions, 1-to-1 sessions, or community areas, you agree that any reliance on the information is at your own risk.
We expressly disclaim all responsibility, and shall have no liability, for any damages, loss, injury, or liability whatsoever suffered by you or any third party as a result of your reliance on any instruction, information, or guidance we provide, or as a result of any User Content posted within our community areas.
Nothing in this disclaimer will limit or exclude any liability that may not be limited or excluded by applicable law.
8. Consent and Responsibility
Use of our App, content, courses, or private sessions implies that you understand and accept this disclaimer.
Always discuss your personal circumstances with a qualified healthcare professional before making any decisions related to pregnancy, birth, or postnatal recovery.
If you begin to feel unwell in any way when using our content or the App, it is your responsibility to seek appropriate medical attention.
