We are registered with The Office of The Data Protection Authority Guernsey and we ensure we comply with the legal requirements they set out with regards to the collection, storage and use of your personal information.
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. Private Education Sessions
When you book a Private Education Session with c-sectionuk we will ask you for some basic information, such as your name, email address and due date as well as the topic of your choice you would like to discuss. This information will help us shape the information and education that we provide during your session.
This information will be stored in a secure drive, accessed by the c-sectionuk team only. We may use this information to inform our data and analytics of our customer base, or reach out to you via email. You have the right to request a copy of this data at any time and ask for it to be removed from our files.
After your Private Education Session, the midwife will make a note of the date and time of your call, as well as your name and two to three lines detailing the content of your sessions and topics that you wished to focus on. This will be securely stored and your personal details will not be shared with anyone. We may use the content of the information discussed to inform our data and analytics around our customer base, however this will be anonymised and your personal details will never be shared.
HOW YOUR PRIVACY IS PROTECTED
When you engage with our services, we only collect information that is required in order to provide you with the service that you have paid for as per the requirements of Guernsey law. The personal data that we may collect includes contact details such as name, postal address, telephone number or email address.
Due to the services that we offer, we also collect data about your expected due date if you decided to book a 1-to-1 Midwife Session (with regards to your pregnancy). This data is classed as special data as categorised by The Office Of The Data Protection Authority Guernsey, and therefore we will require explicit consent from you in the form of a data box that you must tick before you proceed with your session.
Your information is stored securely in our computer system. We have security systems in place to protect your personal data from loss, misuse, alteration or destruction. Additionally, we aim to limit access to your personal data to only those who need to access it. As a company we maintain confidentiality of your data and the individuals accessing your data are required to maintain this level of confidentiality.
Some of the platforms we use are not located in the EU or UK, such as squarespace.com, however this company complies with the Privacy Shield, a EU-US framework designed to provide companies on both sides of the Atlantic with a mechanism to comply with data protection requirements when transferring personal data from the European Union to the United States in support of transatlantic commerce.

We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above.
