About Midwife Vic
Our founder Midwife Vic launched c-sectionuk in the Spring of 2023, after 9 years and counting as a practicing Midwife.
For a number of years she worked privately as an Antenatal Educator and Hypnobirthing teacher alongside her hospital midwifery hours and noticed the increasing demand for c-section education. She truly believes that knowledge is power and the more you know the less you fear. With more and more parents seeking out c-section education that was privately tailored to them at a time that suited their schedules, Vic knew that something had to change.
Midwife Vic started her journey to launching c-sectionuk a year prior, and gained interest from companies nationally and internationally who have supported the platform.
She knew of the divisiveness that exists in the birthing community around mode of birth, but was passionate and determined to improve the pregnancy, birth and recovery experience of those that would be having a c-section birth despite this conversation. Birth is Birth; she felt that midwives and other professionals could pour all of their knowledge and expertise into one digital platform, bringing c-section education to the homes of expectant parents.
VIC’S INTENTION
“I don't want any family who are planning a c-section birth to feel lost, or confused, and I am determined to change the narrative around c-section birth. I want every parent to know that there is information and planning that can improve their birth experience and recovery journey. It's our job to make it abundantly clear that they are not the forgotten group, and here at c-sectionuk, they've found their support hub, with courses, community and Midwives all dedicated to their positive c-section birth.

Midwife Vic can be spotted across TikTok @midwifevic and Instagram @midwife_vic where she creates educational content for soon-to-be parents about pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period, working with brands such as John Lewis and Pampers as well as holding a Resident Midwife position at Mama Mio Skincare.
